Endre Granat was the former assistant concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, concertmaster of the Goteborg Symphony, Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth International Competition, recipient of the Ysaye Medal, and frequent participant of the Marlboro Festival and the Casals Festival. The former Fulbright scholar taught at the Royal Academy of Music in Goteborg, Seoul National University, The Cleveland Institute of Music, and the University of Southern California. For many years now, he has been one of the leading concertmasters for the Hollywood film industry. He was the violin section leader for films scored by Miklos Rozsa, John Williams, James Newton Howard, Henry Mancini and a host of others. He was also the section leader of numerous Academy Awards shows, Emmys, Grammys, and has over 2800 motion pictures to his credit. He has toured and recorded with numerous artists such as Earth, Wind, and Fire, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand, Yanni, Natalie Cole, Dionne Warwick, Hanson, and Ricky Martin. He was concertmaster for many recording studios that made soundtracks for films such as Legally Blonde, Dreamcatcher, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Bourne Identity, The Simpsons Movie, and many more. His teachers included Gyorgy Garay, Josef Gingold, and Jascha Heifetz.
